Surjit Gill after putting herself through Mayor Design school in New York, established her own label called SAZ boutique. The first Indian woman to debut her collection in New York, with one sold out collection after another- she was highly sought after by various other ateliers. Her label was also carried by many prestigious departmental stores such as Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks 5th Avenue, Bloomingdales, Macys and Lord & Taylor.
A pioneer in her field with in-depth knowledge and experience, along with her son Gurnir Singh Gill set up a manufacturing unit called Saz International. Together they sampled and manufactured for the crème de la creme of couture houses like Oscar de la Renta, YSL, Ferre and Akira, amongst other well renowned names.
Super Needle Collections was established in 1983 by Gurnir Singh Gill in New Delhi as an export house for various prêt and couture house. For the last 36 years we have been working in the American, European and Japanese markets partnering with various fashion houses to produce both couture, prêt womenswear and accessories.
Fashion is not only our Heritage but in our blood. Nimrit Gill and Sharan Gill (daughters of Gurnir Singh Gill) have also joined the family business, bringing in fresh & innovative ideas along with a new ambition.
